Valimar
Hold
Set into a mountainous valley, Valimar Hold is kept away from the outside world, and can easily be defended from outside invaders. The region is dry and bare, so the Hold must have shipments for grain, meats, and other food stuffs from the other cities on a daily basis
The residents
here consits of the Council Eldar and their families, servants, a small military
force, merchants, and a small flight of four dragons. In the northwest part of the hold, the merchansts show what items have recently been shipped in. The northeast part of Valimar Hold keeps the grain and meat in a storage room, of course magically enchanted to stay below freezing at all times. working down from there, the Council Tower is the meeting place for the ruling body, and below the meeting chambers lies the Council residence. At the southeast lies the servants and military quarters, and include some guest rooms. The dragon barracts are to the southwest, and provides the dragon residents a comfortable housing without harming mobility. But there are some places wthat no one outside of the Council knows about. Underneath the wonderful exterior of the sunlit Hold, lies the catacombs. Here is where the original council members have been buried, and where the first DaouChin fell. These hollowed corridors are all that remain of the first evil that plagued the land countless ages ago. Deep below the crypts, in the almost endless darkness, walled behind four feet of solid trianthium, there is a fissure in the rock, that eminmates pure darkness. Beyond that opening in the rock floor is the Nether realms. After the Great War, the DaouChin sealed the dark opening, forever closing any permanent opening into the mortal realm. If it were to be opened, sudden changes in the way people thought would happen in the most disturbing way.
